The region’s best-equipped sports and leisure centre is soon to open its doors and people are being offered the chance to be the first to see the new facility ahead of its official opening.

Exclusive VIP ‘sneak peak’ tickets are up for grabs in Fife Sports and Leisure Trust’s competition draw for a tour of the Michael Woods Sports and Leisure Centre in Glenrothes.

The impressive facility will not only offer a fantastic range of facilities to help keep the local community active and enjoy a healthy lifestyle, but will also play host to a range of local clubs and sporting events which will attract competition from across Scotland.

The new sports and leisure centre is being funded by Fife Council as part of its £55 million Future of Leisure investment to deliver three state-of-the-art leisure centres across Fife. Fife Sports and Leisure Trust – the region’s leading provider of sports and leisure facilities – will operate and manage the facility once it is open.

Anyone wanting to take part in the VIP tour and be the first to see the Centre’s impressive swimming pools, health suite, 80-station gym, purpose-built aerobics studio and sports courts, as well as outdoor facilities including 3G synthetic pitches and upgraded athletics track, should visit www.fifeleisure.org.uk for competition details.

Ed Watson, Fife Sports and Leisure Trust’s chief executive, said: “Michael Woods Sports and Leisure Centre is a great addition to Glenrothes and will be a fantastic resource for the local community. Having watched the building develop, and now near completion stage, I am sure people will agree that it is a fantastic facility and will provide unrivalled leisure opportunities which are affordable and accessible to help people of all ages get active.

“To be the first to see around the building is an exciting opportunity and I would encourage anyone eager to find out what’s on offer to enter our competition.”

Lucky winners will be invited to tour the facility in early April.
