Dog fouling
It is an offence not to appropriately dispose of any excrement immediately after a dog has fouled in a public place.
You can report someone for not cleaning up after their dog by using the telephone number provided, and we may be able to issue a Fixed Penalty Notice on your evidence.
If you do not clean up after your dog then you could receive a Fixed Penalty Notice of £40 (this rises to £60 if not paid within 28 days).
If you do not provide your name and address to the officer when asked, it could result in a fine of £500.
If these fines are not paid then sheriff officers will recover payment from you which will also include their fees.
